Patient Information
We want your first encounter to instill confidence in your choice
of treatment facilities. At Augusta Physical Therapy, our competent staff genuinely cares
about your recovery.
We listen - We hear your desire for continuity of care.
You will see the same therapist for each visit from evaluation to
discharge. Our therapists value your input in developing your plan
of care.
We explain - During your first visit, we will begin
teaching you about your specific diagnosis. As you progress in the
program you’ll gain a basic understanding of your condition, our
treatment interventions, and precautions to best manage your care at
home.
Friendly, comfortable office - We make it easy for you,
providing an evaluation appointment within 24 hours, appointment
reminders, and simple forms. You will be treated in a relaxed and
comfortable environment. Our office is wheelchair accessible.
Private treatment rooms - Ours are designed to ensure your
comfort and safety with soft lighting, relaxing music, and a call
bell with intercom.
Customized plan of care - Using this individualized
information in developing your treatment plan, we provide strategies to
assist in recovery as well as preventing further
disability and pain. Often consideration of the work
environment through ergonomic assessment is crucial in resolving
postural issues, overuse injuries, and inadequate work stations that
interfere with your ability to perform required duties.
Individualized Home Program - During the course of your
treatment, you will receive an individualized home program designed
to assist in your recovery. It may consist of strengthening,
stretching, coordination and endurance exercises, as well as, self
mobilization, back care, and positioning techniques. For example,
many physicians refer arthritic clients for therapy. Due to
the chronic nature of this condition, it is important to provide
written home exercises to best address the limitations in
flexibility and strength. Frequently, we only need to see
these clients for 1-3 visits, managing the acute pain, and
discharging them on a long-term home program.
We bill your insurance company - We bill all major
insurance companies and accept major credit cards and personal
checks. Co-payments, as required by your insurance program, are due
upon receipt of service.
Robin and Alan, the owners, have a combined 40 years of experience
as therapists. To ensure the quality of your care, our staff is
licensed and regularly attends continuing education courses.
